KREWE OF DIONYSUS SLIDELL, LOUISIANA EST. 1985
Krewe (kr) (pronounced crew)
n. New Orleans , Mardi Gras, Carnival:  Any of several groups with membership whose members organize and participate as costumed participants in the float parades and balls in the annual Mardi Gras Carnival

Dionysus
: The God of Wine and Inspired Madness

Mardi Gras (French for "Fat Tuesday") is the day before Ash Wednesday, and is also called "Shrove Tuesday" or "Pancake Day". Mardi Gras is the final day of Carnival the three day period preceding the beginning of Lent, the Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday immediately before Ash Wednesday (some traditions count Carnival as the entire period of time between Epiphany or Twelfth Night and Ash Wednesday.[1]) The entire three day period has now come to be known in many areas as Mardi Gras.  The date of Mardi Gras changes every year because it's connected to Easter, which can fall on any Sunday between March 23 and April 25.  Mardi Gras is scheduled to be 47 days before Easter.

All hail King Dionysus 27 Ray Judd and his Queen Ms Lindsey Edwards.
